These days, I am still writing and still have a huge catalog with EMI and Huptown Music. I work on
special projects like "The Butterfly Factor" (www.butterflyfactor.com), websites, graphic art and
working in restorative photography.
2011 marks my thirteenth year working with youth at the Oasis Center, Inc. on Music Row. My intention was not to turn it into an avocation, however it has become a big part of my life. Most of the issues teens have are not unprecedented, however unique. I've been where they're going!
I spend my spare time with family in Kentucky, friends in Nashville, and watching every minute of the
Titans football games, from practice through playoffs (We pray!)
I was born in southern Indiana, raised children in Kentucky, and call Tennessee my forever home.
It was a long and winding road, to borrow a phrase from McCartney, from the housing projects and low rent lifestyle to becoming a successful songwriter.
My life has given me the opportunity to learn about joy and pain, and then to use that emotion to create a body of work that is still incomplete.
I have come full circle from working jobs to support my songwriting habit, to giving up the high-life to support my desire to work in service to the community.
The inherent need to create works of art, whether music or visual, lives within me and will not leave without me. I intend to continue working in all the areas that that make me who I am.
